Go to Ledger.com/start using a secure browser. Avoid clicking on random links or advertisements to prevent falling victim to phishing attempts.
Select your Ledger device — either Ledger Nano X or Ledger Nano S Plus. The website will guide you through device-specific setup instructions.
Click on “Download Ledger Live” for your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, or Android). This app acts as the command center for your crypto portfolio.
Follow the on-screen instructions:
Connect your Ledger device via USB or Bluetooth.
Choose “Set up as new device.”
Create a secure PIN code.
Write down your 24-word recovery phrase — the most important backup for your crypto.
💡 Tip: Never share your recovery phrase. Store it offline in a safe, fireproof location.
After setup, verify your device using Ledger Live. Then, install apps for your favorite cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, or XRP. Each crypto requires a dedicated app on your Ledger device.
Once your device is set up, you can log in securely via Ledger Live:
Open Ledger Live on your computer or smartphone.
Connect your Ledger device.
Enter your PIN code.
Access your portfolio, send or receive crypto, and view transaction history instantly.
Ledger doesn’t require a “traditional login” like email or password. Instead, access is secured via your physical Ledger device and PIN — making it virtually hack-proof.
